We're Back! We have been so busy being amazed and amused by our little guy, we have been very negligent in updating the Chronicles with his activities. Alexander is now almost 17 months old (he's not a baby anymore, he's a toddler!), and is walking, running, and climbing all over the place. At his 15 month check-up, he was about 21.5 lbs and 31 inches tall. He is a busy boy and loves to explore, especially outside, and likes to get into mischief whenever possible. He is working on building his vocabulary and loves to sing songs, play drums and dance. Alexander finds a new way to make us laugh and smile every day, and we have loved watching him learn and grow.
Below are some of the family highlights from April, May, June and July:
| Alexander is dressed in his Easter best with Gran and Grandpa. |
| William did not love taking an Easter photo with Alexander. Maybe he didn't love his bowtie, or maybe it was because Alexander kept poking his face... it was probably the bowtie. |
| In early May, Alexander took a road trip to St. Louis to spend quality time with the Strombergs. Here he is a happy boy cuddling with Pops and Great-Grandma Bertha. |
| We had so much fun visiting with Aunt Judy, Pops, cousin Paige, Aunt Carol, GG, Aunt Megan and the rest of the Stromberg family! |
| Good Morning! I turned one years old today (May 30)! Don't I look so much older and wiser? |
| I got an airplane for my birthday! This is how I make it fly so high. |
| Presents? I love presents! Alexander was just as excited about the wrapping paper and boxes as he was about the wonderful gifts. He was a very lucky birthday boy :) |
| Yummy Cake! Alexander did not get very messy, but he certainly enjoyed eating his birthday cake. |
| Mommy turned 30 on June 14 - she also woke up looking older and possibly wiser :) We had a birthday celebration at the race track. Alexander loved to see the horses and walk all around the park. It was a great day. |
| "Grandpa, let me show you where the horses run really fast!" |
| For Grandpa's 65th birthday on June 30, we took a special trip to the Lincoln Park Zoo. Of all of the animals, Alexander seemed to like the otters the best- he pressed his face against the glass and shrieked with glee every time one would swim by. |
| We spent the 4th of July in Grand Lake, Colorado and Alexander learned that he was going to be a big cousin! We are so excited for Auntie Megan and Uncle Joe and cannot wait to meet their baby boy in February. |
| Thanks to Grammie and Pops for a great vacation! Grand Lake was beautiful and we had so much fun. |
Alexander's summer was filled with fun. Here are some of his favorite activities:
| Climbing stairs... |
| ...getting into trouble with William... |
| ...swimming and splashing... |
| ...watering the plants and pointing out pretty flowers... |
...and streaking.
There was even more fun in August, September and October, and we hope to share those pictures with you soon!
