Alexander has been cruising through his 9th month and is ready to reach double digits soon. At his nine-month check-up, Alexander weighed in at 18 lbs and measured 29 inches. He his a long, lean, growing machine! He is a very happy baby and loves to spend his time crawling, climbing, pulling himself up to standing and cruising. He is working on his sleeping skills, and is slowly improving (although he still believes it unnecessarily cuts into his playing time). He does not like laying still for diaper changes, so that has been an interesting challenge. He is ambivalent towards food - while he seems to enjoy being able to feed himself yummy snacks, he would rather be playing than stuck in a highchair eating. He has one tooth, but we think there are more coming soon!
Here are some recent pictures of our sweet and energetic boy. (Videos will be included in the second part of the post.)

| Future mountain climber scales the couch. Momma is ready to catch, but he is holding himself up there all by himself. |

| Alexander loves to play with the gate that blocks the stairs. He has figured out how to climb up stairs, so the gate is an important tool these days. |
 |
| While Mom gets ready for work, Alexander protests his captivity by throwing his toys on the floor. |
 |
| Here Alexander initiates a game of peek-a-boo without any prompting from Mom or Dad. He is such a funny boy! |
