July Festivities, Part I

Alexander is still working on meeting all of his family and friends, but he made good progress in the last two weeks!  He is growing bigger and stronger every day.  He still doesn't love sleeping, but he is otherwise a very good baby boy.  We have decided to keep him :)
Alexander is six weeks old today!
He is starting to smile at us, but it almost never happens when we have a camera ready to go.  He at least gave me a half smile in this picture...
And I am pretty sure he is laughing at my numerous attempts to capture his smile in this picture!

Alexander got to hang out with Pops on Fourth of July, and would like to thank Pops for all the projects he did around the house!

Alexander also got to meet great-grandmother Celia, a.k.a. "GG".  They had a lot of fun and he can't wait for her to teach him all sorts of card games.

Alexander loved having his Grammie, Pops and GG visit him!

Grammie got Alexander a fun Fourth of July outfit, but he was a bit too sleepy to show it off.

Nathan and Jaclyn came to town from Kansas City.  Here Alexander is celebrating the news that he is going to get another cousin at the end of the year!  We are so excited for Nathan, Jaclyn and Baby Ross.

Alexander is practicing his swimming kicks with auntie-to-be Christina.  He will be ready for the pool soon!
Three Men and a Baby!  Alexander got to hang out with the boys when LeRoy's friends Mike and Aaron came by to visit.
In between visitors, Alexander relaxes with his mom.  While she is a bit amateur, Alexander does not seem to mind (most of the time).

Alexander has been busy figuring out how to use his hands.  He is still very uncoordinated, but he is making improvements.  Here he used his fist to position Sophie the Giraffe so that he could eat her ear.  We were so proud!

Tummy time!  Alexander does a pretty good job at lifting his head up to look around.  There are so many things to see!
